Grant Application for Nonprofit Charity Partners

Mission Statement:

FlockFest serves the local LGBTQ+ community of South Florida by raising funds at events created by and for nonprofit charity partners. FlockFest, a 501c3 nonprofit supports and serves charities in fulfilling their stated missions to serve the local LGBTQ+ community of South Florida.

Background: Annually, FlockFest will conduct a call for grant applications from large, local LGBTQ+ organizations. Additionally, the grant application process is conducted semiannually for small, local LGBTQ+ organizations. FlockFest grants are non-restricted awards for use by the discretion of the awardee. *Grant is defined as any monetary award/donation from FlockFest to a Charity Partner.

FlockFest Nonprofit Charity Partners regardless of size, must:

​

  • be established 501c3 organizations with formally functioning boards

  • have published mission statements that are transparent and available for public review

  • maintain a good rating of accountability for delivery of services and utilization of funds provided to the community.

To best serve the local LGBTQ+ community, FlockFest delineates two types of Nonprofit Charity Partners to receive funding as follows:

  1. Large organizations with annual budgets more than $300K serving a wide the local LGBTQ+ community. In December, FlockFest will publicize an open call grant application from for large organizations. These grants must be submitted by close of business on December 31st. The review process will be conducted in January. Awardees will be announced on FlockFest social media platforms on February 1st. These awardees will be official FlockFest Charity Partners for one calendar year.

  2. Small organizations with annual budgets of less than $300K serving the local LGBTQ+ community. In September and March of each year, FlockFest will publicize an open call grant application from for small organizations. These Grant Proposals must be submitted by close of business on the last day of September and March. Awardees will be officially announced on FlockFest social media platforms on the first day of October and April respectively. These awardees will be official FlockFest Charity Partners for one calendar year.
